Dr. Dinanath Pathy (1942-2016) Dharmapada Awardee was born in the village of Digapahandi, Ganjam, Odisha in 1942. He went to Government School of Art and Crafts, Khallikote and did his specialisation in Painting. He began his career as an artist in State Museum of Odisha. In 1984 he became the first principal of Govt. College of Art and Crafts, Bhubaneswar, which was renamed as B.K.College of Art and Crafts latter. In 1994 he joined as Secretary, National Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi. He was a great promoter of Odishan art and artists and died in 2016.
