Procedure for Admission

A candidate seeking admission into the B.V.A. course (Foundation course) has to pass +2 Examination of the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha or its equivalent Examination with an attitude in Art and Cultural activities.

Eligibility

  • Pass in +2 or equivalent examination/any Degree with age limit 23 years as on academic session in each year. There is a relaxation of three years for SC/ST and five years for Physically challenged category.
  • Candidates must appear for a written test and an interview. The test will be based on aptitude and general topics related to Art and Culture of India and Odisha.
  • The merit list will be drawn on the basis of the marks secured from the test examination (I) Written test of 20 marks, (II) Aptitude test of practical (a) Still life study of 30 marks (b) Composition from the memory of 30 marks and (III) career (i.e.) 20 percentile of qualifying (+2 pass) examination marks .

RESERVATION OF SEAT:

Reservation of seat will be allowed for SC/ST and PH candidates according to the Reservation Rule of Government of Odisha, subject to qualify In Admission Entrance Test conducted by the College.

APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION:

The candidate seeking Admission B.V.A. 1st Semester foundation course has to apply through the prescribed form duly filed in with all requisite information and testimonials on or before the last date fixed by the College. The applications received after the stipulated date are liable to rejection without any information. Only the complete application in the prescribed form purchased from the office of the Principal with all requisite documents will be entertained. The application form found incomplete in any respect will not be entertained.

Application form can be obtained by Regd. Post on payment of cash through M.O. But the office will not be responsible for any loss or delay in transit.

CHECK LIST OF ENCLOSURES WITH APPLICATION FORM:

(Only attested photo copies of documents to be submitted wit-the Application form)

  • Original Money receipt of Application form.
  • H.S.C /Matriculation certificate.
  • H.S.C /Matriculation Mark sheet.
  • +2 or equivalent Examination certificate
  • +2 or equivalent Examination Mark sheet
  • School/ College Leaving Certificate
  • Conduct certificate from the last studied institution.
  • Migration Certificate.
  • Income certificate from competent authority.
  • Residence certificate from competent authority.
  • Caste certificate from competent authority in case of SC/ST/OBC/SEBC
  • Physical handicapped certificate from the competent authority in case PH
  • Three recent Colour Passport size photographs.
  • Two Self Addressed Envelops with Postal Stamp of Rs.5/- attached.

ENTRANCE TEST:

After submission of the Application for Admission in due procedures the eligible candidate have to appear an Entrance test conducted on the date and venue fixed by the College. The entrance test comprising of three separate tests viz;

  • Study (Practical)
  • Composition (Practical)
  • General Knowledge on Art &Culture (Written).

The candidate securing 40% or more than 40% of mark in the Entrance test will be eligible to qualify the Entrance test. The sum of Career marks and the mark obtained from Entrance test will be jointly tabulated and finally a merit list of the successful candidates will be prepared by the Principal. Then merit list will be notified on the Notice Board. The admission will be taken according to that merit list.

Any material other than pen, pencil and admit card are not allowed at the time of Entrance test. Mobile phones, calculators, camera and any text or image are strictly prohibited.

The candidates are bound to abide by the rules and regulations of the College and the decision of the Admission committee is final.
